Hell's Kitchen / Clinton
Formerly known as Hell's Kitchen, Clinton expands from 30th to 59th streets and from 8th Avenue to the Hudson River. Coined as Midtown West, Clinton has undergone a regeneration in its demographics, which has transcended into the overall feel of the neighborhood, becoming one of the trendiest and most centralized neighborhoods in New York City.
Clinton is nestled within the boundaries of Times Square, Central Park, Chelsea galleries, the Theatre District, and Hudson River Park. Known for its cuisine and playing a major role in pre and after theatre dinning, Clinton is replete with restaurants ranging from chic Chef owned spots, such as Mario Batali’s Esca and Daniel Boulud’s DB Bistro Moderne, to traditional neighborhood joints.
Methods of transportation, such as the Port Authority Bus Terminal, Long Island Railroad, The Lincoln Tunnel, and New York Passenger Ship Terminal enjoy their hub in Clinton. In addition, it hosts three of the most prominent and transited subways stops in the MTA, Pennsylvania Station, Times Square, and Columbus Circle, servicing 12 train lines (1, 2, 3, 7, 9, A, C, E, N, Q, R, S).
